IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PASS/NO PASS Petition for spring 2020 - Students can petition spring 2020 class in a Pass/No Pass basis until one year after that semester ends. This petition is not reversible.
PASS/NO PASS Petitions for other terms than spring 2020 - Students have the right to petition a class in a Pass/No Pass basis while the health emergency last. The deadline to submit this petition is until the last day to drop with a "W" of that particular class. It is required that students see a counselor before submitting the petition, as four years universities may not accept this grade as transferable class. This petition is not reversible.

If you have been classified as Non-California Resident for Tuition Purposes and you are seeking reclassification review, please send your request to PierceAdmissions@PierceCollege.edu email account. An Admissions and Records representative will contact you back.
New Student Admissions Requirements
- Graduated from high school, successfully passed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE), GED, received a Certificate of Completion.
- Over 18 years of age, no longer attending high school and are capable of profiting from the instruction offered.
- Under 18 years and attending High School. Visit the Concurrent Enrollment page for detail information.
If you have never taken college courses, follow these steps to apply and register for classes.
- Submit an Online Application.
- Within two business days after you apply, your student ID number will be sent to your personal email address used on your online application.
- Activate your student portal and email account by visiting your Student Portal.
- After that first email, all communications from Los Angeles Pierce College will be sent to the LACCD e-mail address.
- Apply for Financial Aid (FAFSA)
- For information about self-placement, See a New Student Counselor.
- Make an appointment with a New Counselor.
- To view your English or Math placement login to your Student Portal.
If you have previously attended a college outside of LACCD, follow the steps below to get started at LA Pierce College.
- Submit an Online Application.
- Within two business days after you apply, your student ID number will be sent to your personal email address used on your online application.
- Activate your student portal and email account by visiting your Student Portal.
- After that first email, all communications from Los Angeles Pierce College will be sent to the LACCD e-mail address.
- Apply for Financial Aid (FAFSA)
- For information about self-placement, See a New Student Counselor.
- Make an appointment with a New Counselor.
- To view your English or Math placement login to your Student Portal.
- If you want to use your previous coursework from College(s) outside LACCD to clear prerequisites, you are required to submit official transcripts from the previous College(s) to Admissions and Records. Transcripts must be sent directly from the previous College(s) to Pierce Admissions and Records.
If you previously attended LAPC, or one of our sister campuses in LACCD, but have not attended for more than two consecutive semesters, please follow the steps:
- Reapply Online.
- Within two business days after you apply, your student ID number will be sent to your personal email address used on your online application.
- Activate your student portal and email account by visiting your Student Portal.
- After that first email, all communications from Los Angeles Pierce College will be sent to the LACCD e-mail address.
